I might be taking down a Camphor tree and was wondering if it can be burned in a fireplace?
Here in the South we can't burn pine because it will resin up the chimney and start a fire but I have never heard anything about Camphor, good or bad.
There might be some short sections for boards, how is it for boards?

I think the odor might be a problem in a fireplace.
Camphor is great turning / carving wood, wish I was closer; I would trade oak firewood for it (cut and split).
You may think that you can or may think you can't; either way, you are right.

I don't know anything about burning it, but I cut one a few weeks ago into boards.  Far as I could see the only thing unusual about sawing that log was the smell.  Nothing spectacular about the boards.
