Milled my first beam today with Alaskan  8) it was fun! After I cleaned up the saw good and when I took the air filter off the stud backed out of the intake. I carefully put it in a vice and undid the filter nut from the stud and put the stud back in with locktite and tightened the nuts that holds the carb on. This air filter nut looks like its cross threaded on the stud it goes on wicked hard. The filter had 3 tablespoons of old oily sawdust inside it!! Howd it get in there the screen has no holes and the filter was tight  :o??? I guess I need a new filter. The threads on the stud were mint. Another thing I noticed was that the head was helicoiled. Is this stock or was this done after and is it common?
