I picked up a very clean, used MS 460 Magnum, and unlike most folks, I am having a problem with this saw over oiling.  I run a 25" Stihl roller ES bar and have been using Oregon LGX chain.  I have adjusted the oiler to its lowest setting, yet I'm still using over a tank of bar oil to a tank of fuel.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. Any chance this saw has a 3/4 wrap handle on it? If so then it would probably have a high output oil pump as well.  Could also have been upgraded by the previous owner.  If regularly running a longer bar then this would be an option to have on that size saw. Not a sure thing but a place to start.

More oil is better than less !! I would be concerned if i didn't have to refill the oiler when i gased the saw ....

Well I suppose you could try less gas in the tank  or thicker oil .

Thanks for the input.  There was a piece of trash blocking the adjustment screw from completely turning.
