For some as yet to be discovered reason, the forestry forum is not able to send email from the newserver. We can get it, but we can't send, so if you are supposed to get notifications for stuff, you aint getting them right now.
Jeff, the other forum that had trouble with a server change and you kindly helped with a week or so ago is having the same issue. There must be a software change or mess up in the new version somewhere?
I found the trouble Don. New server uses port 25, the old server used port 587 to send smtp. I suspect they have the same issue,.
Change port settings in SMF forum in admin/ maintanance / mail /settings
This maybe just me and my computer, but when I tell the photo uploader to post my picture into my thread/story, it asks me if I want to and I say yes and nothing happens.
I've had to copy the "img" tag to get my pictures to show up.
I don't know if this is the right place to post this or not.
But I thought I'd let you know.

Dump your browser cache.
I needed to reset the forestryforum cookie. If any of you were unexpectedly logged off, this was the reason
I got logged off, no problem. Logged right back on and picked up at the same place. Figured it was my flakey OLD system. Jeff, from a guy who did this sort of stuff for 40 years, YER GOOD.. thanks

I tried it again and again with clearing my cache and it is still happening.
If it's only me I can live with it. I would just like to know if it is only me.
And if there is another solution?

Your cookies may not dump with your cache. I can't say that's the problem. I can't recreate the problem yet here .
Did you restart your machine or device?

Sure, if its the old one, it may be conflicting with the new one.
Jim, can you add a smiley to a post using the [more] smilies? tjat is the same sort of function.
Sessions error bug fixed when trying to login with mobile version.
Jim, its doing it to me too now. Not sure how to fix it yet. It still works with my phone, but not the pc.
Jim, I think I fixed it, at least it now works for me.
ok
nope didn't work
deleted yesterday's cookie and I'll try again now
nope still won't post link when I select "insert image in post"
I'm lost but I can work around it.
Don't know if this is related to the changeover, but I just encountered this issue. When I select "Member Map", a blank map of North America loads and before I can zoom in, I get a new page with a single line of text, "Unable to read the map pin data, result was -500."
This was on my desktop running Windows10 and Edge. Tried in Chrome with same result. Tried on my Android tablet, also running Chrome = same results.

I've cleared cash and cookies. I get the same result (or lack thereof). I'm running Firefox Quantum (57.0.4 64 bit) and it just downloaded another update... Been using cut-n-paste of the link in the white box.
Jeff,
I am having a hard rime logging in. My user name and password keep getting rejected. If I repeatedly put in my user name and password it finally logs me in but I do not know what to do being an old and technologically challenged individual.
If you just posted, you are logged in. The change over would not have an effect on ongoing login issues. I'd suggest choosing stay logged in forever next time if you are using a personal device or computer.
