Thanks in advance

The 545 and 550xp are 50cc saws, and the 555, 556, 560xp and 562xp are 60cc ones. The 60cc ones are a bit larger and heavier of course, but still neat and light for 60cc saws - specially the 555 and 560xp.

The xp suffix indicates the more powerful versions. The 562xp and 556 have the large Husky bar mount, and all the others the small one.

There are a bit more, but this is the most basic differenses.

545/2252, 550/2253, 555/2258, 562/2260. I don't think there is a Jonsered that compares to the 556.

Actually the 562 has no exact Jonsered equivalent here in the USA, the Jonsered 2260 is a small bar mount version.. and Husqvarna has a 560 in other markets that is essentially an orange version of the 2260. Don't know if Jonsered sells a large mount 562 in red else where...

Btw, for a long time I believed the 556 never would hit the market, but now it is out (in Austalia at least).

A rather meaningless model in the mix, if you ask me.....

I wish they would make a red large mount version my jonsered dealer is 15 min closer than my husky dealer

If you thinking about getting the 562xp at all go for it. I done hours a research for a new saw last year and went with the 562xp and love it.

Well, that one is still a very good saw - just not a variant that I think is in high demand.  ;)

However, I have said negative things about many Husky models (and sometimes the brand itself) - but most people just don't seem to notise when I do.

No brand is perfect.

How ya been Niko ?

Not really well, to be honest - the recovery after the ancle fixation surgery is taking a long time - but as usual I am optimistic and looking forward!   :)

ive had several people decide not to buy a 2260 because of it being small mount. I just cant figure out why some  guys have it in there head large mount is better than small mount. is a large mount 20'' bare not the same length of cut as a small mount 20'' bar. I can understand if you have other saws all in large mount but for the guy with only one saw its a mystery to me..

The reason I want all large mount is because I have 9 or 10 saws that all take the large mount and I have probably 25 different bars so it just keeps things simple. Other than that I agree I don't think there's any downside too the small mount

Isn't the small mount lighter as well?  At least that's what I had heard about the Husky 560 vs the 562 (though I've not seen the specs on the 560... or even seen one of those saws).

Yes, about halv a pound lighter + the bars will have a slimmer tail as well.

From reading my 562 owners manual the 560 small mount has a slightly smaller oil tank as well.

Yes, it looks that way in some documents, but the differense is very small. One part in the oiler is a little different as well, according to the 2013 IPLs..
