Stihl doesn't appear to offer ripping (milling chain) and I can't find anybody that does in .404. Can you change your drive sprocket and bar tip to 3/8? Oregon and others have it in this size. Alternatively you could file the top plate back on .404 to  15 degrees. My experience with this type of chain is limited, maybe others will chime in.

You can get the Granberg milling chain for $.55 per drive link +$3 per loop, or buy archer chain bulk from ebay, I didn't see any stihl either but you think for the 088/880 they would make it. Baileys online has the woodland pro chain in .404x .063  x 25' spool for $120.

I did see the archer chain just wasn't sure of the quality. I didn't think the 3/8 was recommended on the 59 bar. I wanted a 48 rollamatic but it only comes in hard nose on the 48 . it will be used on a 880 and 760 conversion.
