Any body got one or have any knowledge of them? Thinking about getting one.

Lee, you might want to wait a couple of weeks.  I hear that the 2010 catalog will have a LOT of new items in it.  Their website will be updated on Jan 1, and the catalogs will be in the mail mid January.

ps - I have a 16" combo machine and have been pleased with it.

I would love to have the 16" but no way I can get away with that much cabbage. The 10" is pushing things.

I have a shop full of Grizzly tools and I am very pleased with them.  I dont have the machine you have referenced however I think Grizzly has a reference program where they will provide you with the name and location of someone in your area who has the machine you are interested in looking at.  When I buy new machines from them they ask me if I would be willing to be on the reference list for local perspective buyers and if someone wants to look at one Grizzly will put them in touch with me - as long as I agreed to let them put me on the list.

I sure wouldn't want a 10" planer.  I would get maybe a 15" planer and wait on the jointer until next year.  You can flatten boards with a planer but it is slow.  Better yet just use already flat boards.  Use the table saw with a good blade for the edges...or buy a used 6" jointer.

I've got a jointer already and a 13" Rigid planer. I have about talked myself out of the combo anyway. I can get the 8" jointer and 15" planer for less money.

Oops, just a bit wrong on the prices. I was thinking about the 12" combo price rather than the 10".

I've been well served with my 12" planer, of course wider is always better especially for glue ups. ;D My jointer is a 6" and works great to. I gotta get at my planer sometime and sharpen them blades. I never had her apart yet in 16 years. On-going projects always get in the way of maintenance. If it blew up tomorrow it wouldn't owe me a dime. :D
