My Dad and I purchased a Nyle L-200 installed in a 8x40 refrigerated shipping container last year and are just now getting ready to use it. It is partioned off so only half of the container is the actual kiln. We will mostly be drying Red Aler, Big Leaf Maple, Chinqaupin, and Douglas Fir. We live in Western Oregon and am curious what the maxium safe moisture losses per day are for these species?

                                         Thanks for any help!!

I just realized I put this in the wrong topic, please forgive me as I am not sure how to move it.    Mike M.

You will probably hold about 1800-2000 BF and the L200 can run 100% on 4/4 for those species except for chinquapin which I would aim for 3% a day

Thank you very much Don! I looked in the Nyle manual, but wanted to make sure so I didn't make any mistakes. I am really looking forward to using this kiln, as it was put together very well. We should be getting power run to it here in the next couple of weeks.

                                         Thanks Again,
