I'm looking to use my new to me Grizzly 18" bandsaw to rip some rough sawn cherry into appropriate widths before making it into paneling and molding.  Most of the lumber is 1" but there will be some two inch and a limited amount of 3".  It takes 124" blades.  What width, # of TPI, style etc do I want to rip hardwood with this machine  ???

3 TPI should be good but do not buy Grizzly bands.Olsen All Pro,are very good bands and timber wolf I liked as well but I think someone bought them ;)

Edit: 3/4" -1" band width is good but You may use 1/2" and find it easier to feed, depends on Your BS set up,keep Us informed on Your efforts.!!!
