I got a little board today, and love BLT's, just wondering how you folks like'em,  for us, half crunchy bacon, half chewy, toast and the fixin's

only have a few chain saws I'm not suppose to use, but will at times, one dog Dolly, pretty good dog, just not sure what for yet,  working on getting the gardening back in order, and kinda thinking on maybe a small bbq bizz,  thinking about it,

I like to use thick bread, not toasted, thick bacon, slab.I break-cut it up in small pieces too.I like to cook the bacon on a cookie sheet in the oven,450° kinda about 20 minutes. No need to turn it. put it in and forget for 20 minutes. I just had one the other day.

Not too crispy, not too chewy, hold the lettuce, soft whole wheat bread, American cheese and Hellman's Mayo.

Home made whole wheat bread from wheat that I ground toasted to perfection loaded with crisp bacon topped with home grown Beefsteak tomatoes and lettuce from the garden.  A little Mayo is acceptable.

If it don't have DUKE'S MAYO on it......it ain't a Southern Thang.  food6

As long as it has a good ripe home grown Tomato, everything else is incidental.

I agree with the BLOT!  Especially with sweet vidalia onions.

I think there's a whole reality show on Natgeo, tlc, history channel or some such about bacon;  since I tend not to watch "reality shows", I'll probably never see it.

Amen. Dukes and grits ( although usually not together )

DanG

I like my bacon thin and crispy.  The cheapest one in the store is usually best.  Thick white bread like Texas Toast, lightly toasted.  Big thick slice of homegrown tomato with a layer of bacon on each side with plenty of Mayo.  I can take the lettuce or leave it off, and mayo brand don't matter.  Third layer of bacon is allowable. ;D

I think I'm going to have one today!  Bacon thick and a bit limp, white bread, mayo or miracle whip, tomato and like Dang, I can take or leave lettuce.
