one of my arbor vitae died. could you make a decent bow out of arbor vitae?  do you need to dry it out first?  or can you tiler it right away.

I doubt it. It's basically white cedar. Brittle when dry.

Yep, that was my first thought, too brittle.
But it's such a nice smelling wood you should try and make something out of it.
