I have a Kubota M6800 (65 HP)& a Ford 800 (40+ HP)tractors. Looking for opinions on Farmi 351 vs 501 for these tractors. Is the 351 too small for the Kubota and the 501 too big for the Ford ?

I have a 501 on my Kubota L4610. Its been a great winch but it is pretty big for my tractor. If I get a large hitch behind me, I sometimes have to raise the 3 pt hitch then skid the logs up to get them off the ground. The 3pt hitch just doesnt have the lift to get the winch and butt logs off the ground.

Its a great winch and I think itll be great for both of your tractors. The deciding factor will be using your better judgement when your using the winch on your smaller tractor. Things happen really quick when your winching logs in.

Another thing to think about is whether you have a loader on either of your tractors.
Having a loader is a must.
I ran a 351 on a Ford 1700 tractor with a loader. It was too much winch for that small of a tractor.
On a couple occasions I had the front end of the tractor up in the air.
If you're not Careful you can flip a small tractor over pretty quick.
I think for what you want to do the 351 would be fine.
Good luck with whatever you choose.
Work hard. Be rewarded.

also consider the wallenstein winch.
it has a builtin 2 inch receiver hitch.
that way you can tow a trailer for the logs behind the tractor.

I have the Farmi JL501 winch on my 5520 mahindra with FEL

a tractor with a FEL (Front End Loader) is a MUST
"let the machines do the work"
