just picked one of these from the original owner (homeowner saw), saw was very well kept, looks like new, runs like new, couldn't pass it up for $200. bucks !, just wanted to get others opinions on this saw, would also like to know if the 2071 or the husky 371/372 topend will fit on this saw, not that the saw needs it, just want to know. any info would be great, thanks, old030

I have the 2165 and really like it for firewood. I have used mine in 20-28" wood and it works real well. Most wood this size I also noodle with this saw.

Check to see if bolt on intake or clamp style. Here is info making the switch from bolt on to newer clamp style if needed.

I have  been real impressed with the 62cc 65cc 71cc 74.66cc 76cc saws I have had in this model.

Husqvarna 362, 365, 371*, 372XP, 372XPW, 375K

Jonsered 2065*, 2165, 2071*, 2071, 2171

Note *You will need to purchase (1) 503 56 00 04 intake manifold clamp and (1) 503 96 45 01 intake manifold boot in order to fit some 371 chainsaws with bolt on carburetor intake manifolds. See if your model is clamp on, if so you do not need to purchase the extra items.

thanks cut4fun, my saw has the boot and clamp, sounds like it should be an easy swap, if i decide to, thanks, old 030 :)

If you have an actual need to replace the top end, then the larger jug is the obvious way to go. But it's a huge waste of $ to toss a perfectly good top end for the very small performance gain you'll get. Just run her the way she is and enjoy it.  8)

I also picked up that 2065Turbo for $200, recently.  Has great power, but feels a bit on the heavy side.  Mine has a Sandvik 20" bar, and although is looks a bit rough, it starts easy and runs hard.  Also had to replace the decomp button, but that's a small price to pay for a great saw.

Anyone know if that Sandvik bar was standard issue, when that saw was new?
