I wasn't there. My wife took this shot. He don't even know about it. The turkey trot is a pretty neat thing. A big part of it is when they fly over and through the turkeys out of the plane and helicopter for all the younguns to chase down and catch. Mad scramble.

I remember a funny episode of the TV show,"WKRP in Cincinnati", concerning throwing turkey's out of a helicopter, over a parking lot at a Mall. :-\

Plane dropping a turkey.

Turkey landed on a building.

Hey I just found this thread.  Lindy came by but said later that she could not get through the crowd to visit.  It was a pretty good day and it did bring in some more business.  Got lots of custom sawing jobs out of it.   Sometimes the turkeys do not get their feet under them and land a bit hard.  We tried forzen birds but the windshield cost was way to high.

Lindy tells me one of the Hadley girls climbed up there and caught that one.

The turkey is in a pen in the front yard from the word I get.  I have never gotten one in all these years.  Some day one will fall in my lap.

I never have had the chance to go. :( Maybe I'll be home for it next year.
