Can I Use It?

   I would really like to build a sola kiln,but the price of ply is a little more than I 'm able to spend now. Question is , can I use boards on both the outside,and inside? Use ridged foam insulation,a plastic vapor barrier opn the inside,and painted boards on inside

   That's how I'd do  it. I sure can't see why not.

I think the inside of a solar kiln gets a pretty hard life, heated, cooled, covered with condensation every day. I'd pick a durable timber for the inside as it's in an even harsher environment than the outside cladding.
Apart from that I see no real reason it wouldn't work ???

The kiln I am in the process of building consists of framing lumber that I sawed and on the inside I am using foam insulation than covering it with 1/4 inch fiberglass panels, like the ones used in a bathroom, they were free from a job, I try to use what ever is available, without the cost. The fiberglass should hold up pretty well to the durability and moisture.
