Us Mac users can no longer posts photo's

Just thought I'd give a heads up, as I'm not the only one with the problem.

If the old style pic that showed the img code was there, then we could simply copy and paste like before.

The new (not so new now) system does work for macs, as sprucebunny tested it. Could it be that perhaps you don't know how it works?

Even with that, you can still post photos. you simply put the image url between the image tags and thats it.

More then likely, if its not a misunderstanding on how postimg a photo works, you have scripting disabled or something like that. Who else has the problem by the way?

I don't know exactly why but the instructions that S-Bunny wrote was the exact way I used to post photo's and as far as I have been able to determin, that way will no longer work.

I seem to find any code to copy and paste that will produce the picture in the post.  Link yeah, img no.  I'll keep looking.

Maybe it's OS incompatability.  I run 3 different browsers, but no luck as yet.

You dont have to copy code any longer. the code goes automatically into your post.  Start a post, click the  Upload photo? link.  If the photo is already uploaded, do it anyways to open a gallery window. Find the photo you want to use in that window, (not the thumbnail, but the actual photo)  then simply click on the text that says "Click here to copy photo code to your post window"  The code will automatically be placed in your post.

The Automatic post won't work with:

Mac OS 10.2.8

Safari 1.03

Mozzila Firefox 1.50.10

These are pretty common Mac softwares. Maybe Spruce Bunny has something newer?

Are you able to use the more smilies link to place smilies in your post? or any smilies for that matter?

On mac do you have any way of viewing a pictures url? Or "source".

I can view a source for the whole page, but I was looking yesterday for just the source code on the pic itself, but no luck. ... :(

Actually, I can access the site on my Amiga, even a web browser, which is way behind the current standards. We'll soon have Firefox though, believe it or not. But, progress on porting is snail's-pace slow.

I've been running macs since 1987.  20 years for cryin out loud... that's a scary thought..  :D

I run a bit older models as I can't find newer software that works as well for my needs. Sooner or later I get forced into a new system..  :

I picked up an iMac G3 (you know with the translucent blue case) at an auction a couple of weeks ago for $35 8)  It works great!  Everybody at the auction thought it was just a keyboard and monitor ;D ;D

I've still got my SE-30 I paid $4700 for at a special discount price back in 88.  Wish I had that cash now..  : :D

Also have a 1 gig hard drive I paid $2700 for on the bone pile..  ;D
