What kind of bug is this?

Any ideas y'all?  This joker came crawling out of a poplar log after I made my opening cut.  At first glance, it looks like it has a smaller bug riding on its back.  On closer examination, that's its backside!  Got the best pics I could.

 this closely resembles the pine beetles we have here,  just a minute for a pic,


 
this is a juvenile one, they get bigger and aggressive as they grow, I know! six wings or more and they attack!
and they make havoc on logs as well.
only have a few chain saws I'm not suppose to use, but will at times, one dog Dolly, pretty good dog, just not sure what for yet,  working on getting the gardening back in order, and kinda thinking on maybe a small bbq bizz,  thinking about it,
