Is there a gasket required between air intake manifold & carby on a Husqvarna 340

Cylinder-Intake boot with clamp, make sure you put on a new style STEEL clamp to hold that boot to the cylinder. There is a support ring at the carburetor end of those boots. Then that "bracket" presents the sealing surface of the boot to the carburetor ... no gasket there.

Did this video on a 345...same saw really.

Thank you weimedog for your reply much appreciated
I meant at the air filter end not the cylinder end
The service manual doesn't seem to show a gasket which seems strange to me
Cheers

There is rarely a gasket upstream of the carb throat - between carb and air filter box (housing). All that matters there is a good enough seal not to get dirt, sawdust ingested.
