Putting new clamps on my older Lt15

i got the clamps in today.  I moved the older ones out toward the ends so I can use them for shorter logs.  Tomorrow I will install the new clamps.  The instructions are kind of vague.  It says to drill holes and install them in about the middle of the cross member.  Shipping time was amazing, but instructions are lacking.  Has anyone done this and can shed some light or give me any advice before I do it?
