Watching the spiders and bots

Occasionally, when I look to see who is online, I scroll down and check on what the spies are viewing. Recently I saw a Google spider looking at a post from back in 2000 called "Roadless." I sure hope that debate will not come back up now some eight years later with a new administration. 

But then today I saw one spider that also was recording a job posting that expired in 2006.  ;D

It's fun to sometimes go back and look at what the spiders are looking at. But I hope they are not saving all that old information that is useless now.

They collect and save everything and anything.  That is why you have to be careful what you post on the internet as you may regret it someday. ;)

I have always looked upon the history to be as important as the current debates.   People would have no idea of how to assume a position if they didn't  have access to the history of the argument.

I'm not so sure that a "bot" is smart enough to know what it is looking at. :-\
