Watching the spiders and bots

Occasionally, when I look to see who is online, I scroll down and check on what the spies are viewing. Recently I saw a Google spider looking at a post from back in 2000 called "Roadless." I sure hope that debate will not come back up now some eight years later with a new administration.  :)

But then today I saw one spider that also was recording a job posting that expired in 2006.  ;D

It's fun to sometimes go back and look at what the spiders are looking at. But I hope they are not saving all that old information that is useless now.  :)

They collect and save everything and anything.  That is why you have to be careful what you post on the internet as you may regret it someday. ;)

I have always looked upon the history to be as important as the current debates.   People would have no idea of how to assume a position if they didn't  have access to the history of the argument.

I'm not so sure that a "bot" is smart enough to know what it is looking at. :-\
