Very Interesting but the side door is going to be a cold spot and may leak after a while.

Very true. I'll probably stick on a layer or two of 2 inch rigid foam to assist with that. I can always take it out and build a 2x4 door and fill it with rigid foam or spray foam. The steel door was a cheap opportunity at the time.
