Farmall 706 1963

Early 706 with a low 4 digit serial#.  Runs but needs a head gasket.  It has an external leak on the exhaust manifold side back corner.  I've been told they're known for this :-\  Oil and coolant don't mix.  I had the injector pump rebuilt once upon a time and the injectors and glow plugs were checked then too.  Its been on the farm 10 years I guess.  Used it round baling and running the haybine.  Never did any tillage with it.  Haven't made hay in several years now.  The last real workout it had was running the Corley 5 sawmill.  It did very well.  It has one BKT tire that I bought new.  The other isn't so good.  No fluid in them.  Front tires are very serviceable.  The left brake needs some attention.  Engine carries 40lbs plus of oil pressure on a true gage.  TA is weak on the low side.  I have three point hitch points for the Fast Hitch.  Headlights work.  Fuel gage doesn't.  It likes ether to start.  Shifting linkage has the standard slop issues.  Tach and hour meter don't work and haven't since I've had it.  Wheel weights do not go with it.  Glass is all good in the cab.  The lower piece in the back is around somewhere.  Good old tractor but I don't want it anymore.  Make me an offer.  I've read understand and agree to the terms of selling items on the Forestry Forum.

I just listed it on CL for $4,000.00.  I don't expect to get this much but it's a starting point ;) ;D :)

She's sold.  A guy from Rudyard bought it this evening through the CL ad.  I was beginning to think about fixing it and keeping it.  Glad he showed up.  The low ballers really ticked me off on this one.  "I can only do a thousand dollars".  "You just wasted 15 minutes of my time with that story to offer me a grand?  Scraps up.  I'll haul it to the yard for that." ::) >:( ::)
