worth buying???

i found a franklin 405 in decent shape and a 210 prentice in GA for sale. they want $3000 for the loader and $5000 for skidder. what do you guys think??

If they both seem to run ok I would grab them at that price. I don't know a lot about the value of loaders but the skidder, if it runs good, seems like a steal.

they are on ebay, they are located in Blakley GA.

Did you download the pics from eBay? or go see the equipment and take your pics?

Good question. If you are grabbing these equipment photos you have been posting off of the net, you are setting yourself up for copyright infringement possibilities. You can't just go get a photo without permission. If someone contacts me about it, and believe me they do and have in the past, I send them directly to the person responsible and remove the photos as well. If they were photos that belonged to the Forestry Forum, I'd protect them the same way.

That skidder would be a great buy at that price .. but it has a reserve on it and the buy it now price is shy of 14,000$. I am thinking that the selling price won't be anywhere near that 5000$ mark. ;)
