My front Wheel bearings on my 4 x 4 JD tractor is clicking.  It is hard to change these out myself or do I need to take it to the JD co. to fix?

You should go to the JD forum . You should be able to get good advise and probably a copy of the tech manual for you tractor with the parts breakdown and instructions. Here is one to get you started. There are several others also.

I too would recommend getting the tech manual for the 5205.
From jdparts.com it doesn't look like a major job, but there are some different front axles depending on serial numbers.

But you are doing good if you have isolated it to a bearing. jdparts will show you where that bearing is at and the related parts around it.

Thanks, trying to save the $80.00 per hour J.D. charges for labor.
