Daconant

Two weekends ago I had the Captain out to saw up a pile (a whack?) of red and white oak logs. I want to compliment Craig on his skill and professionalism. No wasted motion, and a minimum of wasted wood.
The logs had been down for over a year since a large septic revamping at the family's "summer compound". (sounds better than "Collection of Shacks"  :D). I was concerned that they might have degraded, but the boards we cut were very solid. We put in a good 7 hours of sawing and ended up with more lumber than I could have imagined. (~2000bf scaled). Come fall I plan to have him back for an equal amount of white pine.
I guess I have a year to finish the rest of the long delayed shop. Providing that "the committee" approves of course. ;)
