Both of my Stihl 064AV's weren't running worth crap at the end of last year no matter how much carb adj. I did.  They were both bogging real bad in the cut.  Well I finally decieded to find out what was wrong.  The first saw I start looking at I found the fuel tank vent completely plugged.  Cleaned it out, adjusted the carb and the saw ran great.  The other saw was even easier, the fuel line at the carb had split.  Gave it a trim, adj. the carb and all was good.  I was getting ready to order carb kits and replace the spark plugs, now I don't have to.  Now my old Stihl 020T is a different story.  I'm pretty sure that one needs a carb kit.

I ordered a kit for my 020T and discovered it had a Walbro fixed jet carb, and I got a Zama kit. I'm going to find an adjustable Zama for it, don't care for a non-adjustable carb.

Red, my 041 was getting harder & harder to start when warm - A new plug cured it, I have no idea how old the one in it was, but the porcelan was pretty brown.
I was the smartest 16 year old I ever knew.
