home made resaw bench

needed to run a heap of 1" boards down a wile back it was either that or burn them so i built this little bench.

has a 16" blade (made for a 22"er)
pulled one of the old spindles out of the bushes,
old 2.5hp 3 phase motor off the milk machine.
and a bunch a old timber.

ill let the pictures tell the story.







a simple pin fence works best.





has resawn over 3000 bf of timber now. and still works well.

no good for anything over 2" but i have done 4" on it. its just underpowered.

Table saw on steroids,love your junk yard Weisy.I had a cordwood saw mounted on the front of my deere "B" made a metal table for slicing up pallets same idea, worked good.Some feed rolls and you'd have a one sided edger mate. Frank C.

this is just a little #4 resaw. i have another with a 25hp 3 phase motor on it.

im on the lookout for a number 2 bench.

and also a #1 would be nice.
