I hope I didn't make a mistake.
I have a new to me F350 coming today.
It's a 2008 with 19,100 miles on it.
It's a 5.4 with a dump and blizzard power wing plow.
I know it won't tow much , I will just be using it to tow the new mill to Maine this summer for a mobile job.
I wanted it for the dump and plow.
Just plowing my mill yard.
It's in great shape and my other work truck is getting rusty.

I am a little surprised an F-350 would have the 5.4 especially with a dump and plow. At least it didn't see salt at the country club.

i dont think youn will like the gas milage, and changing plugs

You'll be more than fine.  5.4 is more than enough to tow a mill, tools and such.  Dump bed sounds great.  Have you got help for the mobile job?

Bruno of NH

Yes I have help on the mobile job.
Its for my best friend who helped me at the mill before he moved to Maine.
He's building a timber frame near Sunday river ski area.

Nice find Bruno,

For what you want to do i believe you'll be fine.
From what I understand with the 5.4 use the oil that is spec'ed
and don't go to heavier weight, the variable cam gears don't like it.

You know the rest!!

That's a sharp looking truck for an 08. Nothing wrong with a 5.4, I know they had quirks about plugs but they all suck, I've got a 16 with the diesel and it is on its 3rd turbo hose in 35k miles.

Hi Henry the F350, welcome to the Granite State.  You'll notice that you can drive more than 3,000 yards down one of our roads before hitting a toll!  That's a vast improvement over your previous state :D

Before the wife and I got hitched, we drove from NH to Richmond VA (for a race of coarse), and went through NJ.  I swear, you'd just be rolling out of one toll house, not even get back up to speed and hit another one!  I'm pretty sure some of them were only $.10 too (it's been a while and I was a bit perturbed by that point of the trip!)

The plow is clapped  out
It doesn't match the shape of the truck.
I think they kept the nice plow and traded it with an old spare.
I'm on the look out for a blizzard 8011 wing in good shape.
I like it so far.
See the stump in the picture that's the fat guy booster to get in it.

 Nice looking ride Bruno.
Work hard. Be rewarded.

That will be very handy.  Dump bed!  5.4 should be just fine.  It was a great engine for me until it blew a spark plug out of the engine.  I think that issue was largely resolved.  We have 2 at the fire department and haven't had any engine trouble.

Very nice looking truck, should serve you well. I have a 06 f250 with a 5.4 , I've had good luck with it . The plugs are a pain to do, get the removal tool if you change them yourself and take your time doing them.

The 5.4 are good engines. Put  a can  of sea foam in it before you change plugs and run about half a tank through it really helps.

Bruno,  I know nothing about Blizzard plows.  That being said, didnt Fisher buy them out?  I thought a Blizzard & Fisher control stick were the same, are the blades?
