About 15 years ago we had a few downed trees on our property milled(way before I got my sawmill).  So, I've had this stash of cherry just sitting around in my shop staring at me feeling lonely.  Finally had a little time to break it out and turn it into something.

I love working with cherry.  If only I could age as well as it does.

That brings back memories of mom sitting and doing books and such. We didn't disturb her there! But ours didn't look so fancy it was a simple black color. Very nice.

That's very nice.  Where did you get your hardware?

Did you use a slide to hold up the front?

There's a fine line between turning firewood into beautiful things and beautiful things into firewood.

Knobs and hinges were from the big home improvement store.  Woodcraft Supply for the small knobs on the slides and the card holder pulls on inside drawers.  Correct, slide on each side of drawer to support the front.
