Looking to buy a new snatch block to help remove firewood logs and wondering if I can increase the dia. of the cable recommendation by using rope. I'd like to use my 5/8" rope in a snatch block rated for 1/2" cable. I assume the rope will compress enough?
Thanks, Red

I would just stick it in and look at it, if it's dragging on the side plates I wouldn't do it. If it lays in the groove without pushing too hard, try it.

If your going to buy a new one why not just get one for 5/8 rope?
