Title: Center keeper sliding barn doors
Post by: schreiber on November 09, 2008, 12:50:42 PM
We would like to buy a heavy duty, solid center keeper for the sliding doors on our new horse barns.  The doors are roughly 8'x8', metal frame and clad.  Everyone around here just makes a rod and guide deal that anchors the door (or gate) in the dirt, but they are flimsy.  Is there a factory made model?  Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum.Could you take the flimsy set up to a local welding shop and have it made out of  ΒΌ" steel? Or a neighbor that has a welder? I know of one place that has the set up you are talking about.Thier's did not seem flimsy at all.
