I did a demo in the parking lot of an architectural firm a few weeks ago.  I have low expectations about the amount of business this will result in, but I like the write-up they've done, and I think the video at the bottom is clearly above average...

Nicely done.  Your demo may lead to a big architectural project or more.

Be afraid, the last time I did a demo it came back to bite me. I now have to cut the cypress timbers for 46 homes in a subdivision.

Can't beat the sound of a sawmill. They did a nice job on the article. Made your operation sound top notch, which it is. That's just what you need for more business.

Very nicely done. The pics and the video are first rate. I would like to do the same thing to drum up more business for my sawmill business. With that in mind I have uploaded a pic of my sawmill location . Anyone wanting logs sawed for a reasonable price can just float them up to the shoreline and I have the equipment to bring them ashore and saw them and after they can just pull up in boat and drive away with the lumber. No waiting for traffic and no weight restrictions.

Just kidding.

I noticed when I went on Google Earth and got this pic that my boat is anchored offshore when this pic was taken by the sattelite. Go figure

Peter,

That mill is spotless as usual.  You should charge Woodmizer an advertising fee for making it look so nice.

Peter, that demo will pay dividends for many years to come.  That is some of the best free advertising and publicity that you can get.

As usual you demonstrate a class act.   smiley_thumbsup

Peter, Woodmizer has put your video on their facebook page. I'd say thats the best advertising you could pay for.

pnyberg

I'm gratified that Wood-Mizer would put a link up on their Facebook page, but I doubt that that will result in much in the way of new business.  Of course you never know, and that's kind of the point.

I really don't expect that the demo at the architecture firm will result in much business from architects, at least in their professional capacity.  But, there are a lot of people who work at architectural firms who aren't architects.  In this case it turns out that one is a free-lance journalist who works for the largest newspaper in the state and writes a series about interesting businesses.  Apparently I qualify as an interesting business.

There's to be an article about me in the paper soon I'm told.  I'll let you know...
