Boy, back in my day..

SwampDonkey

47 this morning, but Saturday night is frost warning out. Better collect my squash. I have a few the diameter of dinner plates. Good Royalton soil. ;D

Upper 60s or 70 in the mornings and 90ish during the day... summer is still here.

70 and raining. Getting tired of the rain, but the 70 is nice. Of course it'll be back in the 80s when I go to work next week, cause what else could it be?! I'm in the strange position of wanting to rush through time, but I'm too old to want time to go that fast. The summer portions of my life are wasted. Making grass shorter, and wishing for decent weather. That's ~33% that isn't good for anything. It sure would be nice to trade that for something of value. Happy Meals maybe...

We only had 42° here this morning at 6:00!

Felt like bumping the furnace for one cycle, but didn't!  ;)

Won't be long though!

40° sounds better than 39°,this morning. A layer of fog following the brook.

60 and RAIN, with a side order of rain, and some rain for dessert. Wouldn't be so bad, but my basement chronically floods. Oh well. Getting in touch with my feminine side today  :^D Got a scented candle going, and just got back from biglots with some pecan maple biscotti. Might make some cappucinno or chai tonight. Starting to feel a bit like fall. Can't wait til it's really here.

SwampDonkey

We had a frost here, but not a killing frost. The garden wasn't affected. It was 37F up on the porch and in the new place it was 60F. On the cool side. ;D :D

Didn't go into work. Listening to mellow music with the door open. Periods of rain, and 74. Warmer than I'd like, but the air smells good, and I'm enjoying the clouds.

It is starting to feel and look like fall here also. We have had rain for four days depending on where you live around here the rain gauges said 9 1/2 inches to 1 3/4 inches. Where I was logging they had 3 1/2 inches. It has been a crazy summer here hardly any kind of breeze just dead calm lots of rain but hardly any thunder. and here at home just the last few weeks we have been bothered by mosquitos and very few bugs of any kind. Maybe all the spraying there doing on crops has killed them all and we will be next ! :-\

We had another frost this morning but still did not kill the squash up at the new place. But it did kill the squash at my brother's. Dug some taters tonight, the biggest had to be 10 or 11 oz. ;D None have been hollow so far. :)

RAIN!!!! Not 6 inches in 2 hours either. :o  Right now a nice steady rain. Started around 8pm.
No frost that I know of in the area.
Kinda like the garden behind the farm house. My brother had a garden there, got hit by frost one year. It's all open around it. I am a little higher, maybe 50 feet, hard to tell and have the woods on one side about 100 feet away. No frost on my garden that year.

Almost too warm to be cutting firewood. :D   78°
I worked with a guy and we was having a warm fall, right up until late Nov. My boss kept asking him if he got his wood in yet. He kept saying it was too warm. Than the weather broke and turned off cold and he was complaining that he was way behind on his wood. ::)

Warm and rain. We had 1.5 days of sun over the weekend after two weeks of rain, and it's back to raining again, and warm as far as the forecast goes. I'm dying to get back to cutting wood, but it has to be <70. I don't like being hot.
