Has anyone built a kiln chamber either using factory built SIP panels (Structural Insulated Panels) or making your own panels. I would have to add metal sheathing but it would make a tight kiln chamber. Kiln direct has similar kilns but they are expensive.

Not yet - but I have a bunch of SIPs left over from a project that will eventually become my kiln  ;D  I am hoping 8" of foam will really help with the electrical consumption.

I've got what is called "nail base" sips.  They are nothing more than foam with osb on them.   It's my plan to simply build a frame and cover it with the SIPS.  I think you will find that most infiltration problems happen around structure openings such as access doors and building joints.
