on my diy bandsaw mill . what do you like better a clutch or a idler wheel and lever. thanks

Yotebait, on my home built bandmill I used an idler pulley its worked well for many years. If I were doing it again I would use a rocking motor/engine base as its easier to build. Make use of an overcenter adjustable toggle to engage the drive or a cam arrangement. The purpose of building a mill is to save money and spending a lot on an electric clutch doesn't make sense. Money is better spent on the bandwheels and bearings. This as always is one old mans opinion. Frank C.

That is one reason why I bought a Thomas,centrifugal clutch,my shoulder could not reach for a lever. But that is just me.
