Coil for 1986 Woodmizer

I am no luck finding a replacement for my Kohler Onan performer 24 Coil which has went bad.  Any suggestions are welcome. I don't have a parts manual.

I've never heard of a Kohler Onan engine. Cummins bought out the Onan company and they have not supported it as far as replacement parts. Woodmizer does not list a part number for the coil alone, my 1996 mill has a Onan P224G engine, earlier mills, I believe used a smaller engine, 18 or 20 hp. The following is from an Ebay listing and covers 18,20 and 24 hp. engines. (Ignition Coil 541-0522 HE166-0761 HE541-052 Fit Onan P218G P220G P224G Engine ) and may work for you. Now if some previous mill owner re-powered it with a Koher , it would require a different coil.

You would likely find one at most any small engine shop!

I used a Harley coil on my old Onan and it worked great . But there are plenty of on line parts .

What is the model and spec number on the  engine data plate?
