Hello,
My father has a 39 Chevy business Coupe. They are working on restoring it. They want to go with a radial tire. Do you all have any idea what size would fit the original rim. It now has 6.50-16 on it.
I think a 3/8 red line tire would look good.

Thanks
Marty

I ran into the same problem on an early 60's Merc pickup, I was forced to go bias ply. Cooper had them available at the time.

Original was 6.00 16 . Unless you have power steering stay with bias ply . The radial have such a large contact patch they steer real hard . I have a Chevy Luv diesel and it has radials on it and it steers haaard .
