Turbo power rules. My Kubota RTV diesel is 33hp. Turbo kit brings in to 50-ish. Makes a WORLD of difference!  8)

You will love it. I went from a tired 18 hp to a new 25 hp on my old lt40. It's like a totally different mill.

Bruno: I did that project on my HM mill couple of years ago. Nice change. The 22 is so much smoother running than that 13. Hp increase is also nice. You will love it :)

The $100 cupon is just for the 22hp
If it runs well when they have it again I will buy another one.
I need an edger or keep as a spare.

Wish me luck
Tomorrow at 7:00 I start the engine change over.
I hope it goes well
I'm very busy at the mill.
I need the extra power :)

I did this to my saw a few months back. I went from 7.5 hp to the 22hp predator. It works so much nicer. Just make sure you buy the extended warranty. I have to bring mine back. I have had to rebuild the carb 3 times. The needle valve gets stuck in the seat and it dumps fuel into the exhaust. May have to get a good carb for a Honda in the future but it is a great upgrade and dosnt bog down in a 23" cut.

The 22hp is on
Taking an early lunch
Need to mount a gas tank and hook up the battery.
Working in the shop unloading logs and waiting on customers
That's my friend Zack doing the change over (https://forestryforum.com/gallery/albums/userpics/36349/041818102295HDR.jpg?easyrotate_cache=1524063791)

Was making it's maiden cuts at 12:30 after a trip to the parts store for some gas line.
I don't know if it's the weight difference or it being a v-twin the mill vibrates much less.
It makes some smooth cuts
I can see how the added hp will be much better 8) (https://forestryforum.com/gallery/albums/userpics/36349/20180418_125050.jpg?easyrotate_cache=1524077236)

All else being equal, a twin cylinder will vibrate less than a single.

Now you've got yourself a mill you can't keep up with.  8) 8) 8)

now you have enough power to add a double grove engine pulley to run an alt or small hyd pump for hydraulic add ons.

So far I'm very impressed with the Predator engine.
It's been making some nice lumber :)

In the cold I was told to cover the fan intake on the front.
Because it brings in to much cold air.

The old 13hp wouldn't run 10° bands very well.
I have some but didn't use them much because of poor cuts in everything.
I grabbed some 10° and headed out to the mill today and put one on.
Nice cuts in some knotty pine
I couldn't believe it  :o
I'm still only going to buy 7° and 4° but I can use up the 10° I have.

Thanks for the up date. Does your mill use a clutch? If so, what make?

I now have a 25hp Kohler on my mill and it doesn't like the cold weather, so it doesn't run very well without covering part of the intake!
I use half of a Frisbee, just fasten it onto the grill with fine wire or zip ties!

Mr Fish
I didn't see any marking on the clutch.
It fits on the 1" keyed shaft and has a bolt that is 3/8 fine thread that holds the back plate on.
