The slab pile is way bigger than the lumber. Lots of dry rot.

Looks like a great day in the woods. I'm jealous, as I sit in the office wishing my life away, lol.
I also saw a lot of poor wood that I haul out. At 50+ yrs, I have realized that my good wood is declining and as it dies and falls, that is when I haul it out to saw. :-\
Thanks for sharing your time with us.

This mornings work before getting rained out just now. Its settled in for the day so I guess I can go back to the cabin, take a ed solo cup shower, sit down and probably not be able to move the rest of the day. :D

No real plans on the cedar. The logs just needed to be sawn and not spend another u.p. winter on the ground. I'll haul them home and find a use for them.

I'm glad I learned my lesson earlier this year and always disengage the saw now when crossing behind it, which is every cut up here this happened after reengaging and starting towards the cut, not even to it. I'm still using bands that came with the mill.

I always tell people, customers or whoever else, to stay away from that side of the mill and I show them pictures like these so they understand why. Being in the blades way could ruin your day.
