Tensioning a bandsaw with a torque wrench?

Anyone use a torque wrench to tension their bandsaw blades?

Yup
That's how my mill is set up 28 ft pounds .
Thomas mill out of  Maine
Lt 40 wide with 38hp gas and command controls , F350 4x4 dump and lot of contracting tools

Woodland Mills tells to use a torque wrench.  35lbs for the HM126

My Hudson HFE-21 blade tension is set using a torque wrench also.
Hudson HFE-21 on a custom trailer, Deere 4100, Kubota BX 2360, Echo CS590 & CS310, home built wood splitter, home built log arch, a logrite cant hook and a bread machine. And a Kubota Sidekick with a Defective Subaru motor.

Yep. 35ft lbs. I use a HF (Pittsburg branded) 3/8" drive torque wrench. I figure its accurate enough for the mill.

 Me too. Ever since I broke a shaft guessing at it with a big adjustable wrench.

Dont forget that everything changes big time if you get oil or grease on you nut...

Welded a 3/4" socket to the end and put a 1/2" drive torque wrench to it got another 1/2 turn out of it before it went click at 35ft/lbs! Works great thank you guys!
