Short Logs on Lt40

Got a customer that has a lot of 3' long cherry logs.  Is there anyway to make a makeshift clamp for cutting logs shorter than the space between the manual clamps on the LT40- Hyd?

 Lay a board across the bunks and stand a 2X 4 on edge against the log stops. You can clamp the log against the 2 X 4 and the bottom board keeps it from falling through.

  Just sawed a 30" Black Walnut slab yesterday using that method. ;D ;D
