Look who was at the WoodSmith Store in Des Moines, Iowa.

It's the Forestry Forum's "Sparks" doing a three day demo.

There were no sparks from this clean LT40HDG28I with only 3 hr on it ;D

He also had an LT15G15 that was pretty neat.

When Sparks fired up the G28I, he had quite a few lookers.

Yowsers!  I didn't know they let him out from behind the phone!  What if Pro-Sawyer Mary needed help?

Well I'll be darned, I could have sent some logs down for Sparks to demo on. Better yet he could come up here and demo those logs at my place.  ;D

Where's the WoodSmith store at in Des Moines Al?

Bib,

Rick was asked to fill in for another WM Sawyer that could not make the demo ::)

Rick was carrying his cell phone in his hand most of the time. I'm sure if there was an emergency his phone would ring. ;)

But Rick is headed on a missions trip with several other WM specialists. They'll be gone 9 days or so :o

I think it was Belize (?)

Someone found a 1989 WM sitting rusting, so Rick is hauling a bunch of parts over to fix it. The locals are stripping the machine down and sandblasting it. Then Rick and two others are going to reassemble it.

Sounds like an Extreme WM Make Over :D

Norm,

WoodSmith is really in Clive. Which is on the west side of Des Moines. They are connected now ::)

Anyway WoodSmith is a 1/2 mile east of the Living History Farms on Hickman rd. Right off exit 125   80/35  ;)

They bought the old Pay Less Cashway building.

Great store 8)

Need a 8' General Lathe,  it's there!

Take a tour :)

Are you selling some stuff to WoodSmith?  Some of that maple looked awful familiar when I was in there a couple of months back.

It is a cool store.  I end up buying something or another there about every time I pass through.  Nice set-up.  Makes me think of things, I guess sort of like my wife picturing furniture in the living room, I picture tools in my shop.

So many trees, so little money, even less time.

Looks  :o like Sparks did quite a bit of sawing judging by the size of the sawdust hill. Maybe no wind... ???
