I have 40 acres of nice ash.      havent seen any dead ones yet.   should I start axen them or let em get infected.  I dont want to loose my canopy  . there is a LOT of hard maple with them.       monster trees my grandfather kept..  never tapped. 2 to almost 3 ft across the stump.
hoever there are quite a few ash that if i take them the sunlight will get to the floor and make a jungle.  I really like the clean  look but realize that berries bushes and the new sprouts are needed at some point to regenerate the new trees.

is hard maple under attack like other trees. ???   from bugs.  not the chain saw.. i mean.
