Hello my friends.. yeah, its me... those of you been on this site long time know me... I am sorry for having not posted in nearly 2 years. After my trips to Iraq and then Afghanistan... I took a lot of time away from the computer and took more time for myself away from my friends here and I am sorry.

After coming home from both deployments, my base, my unit is still being closed due to BRAC , so i have been busy looking for a new career since technically i am DOD civilian, just happen to wear a uniform and fix jets everyday for the Air Guard... The last 24 months have been difficult on many fronts as i am sure a lot of you have had your own individual difficulties in life as well.

Anyway, i hope I'm welcomed back!

PS.... i still have my dirty and well worn ( filthy) FF hat i wore for that photo op in Iraq LOL.

Its been my pleasure for the last 17 years to serve my country. Its good to see some familiar "faces" around here.... and I see the Stihl / Husqvarna battles still rage in the chainsaw room and there are more recipes now for grits than one human can handle ;)

jjmk98k,

Is it NSA/JRB Willow Grove that is being BRACed from under you?  Did a lot of work with the Public Works Officer a bunch of years ago.

Can you find something at the NEW JOB McGuire (formally Fort Dix/NSA Lakehurst/McGuire).  I know of several people who are retiring from the PWC side of Lakehurst here in a few months.

What about the Naval Support Activity Philadelphia.  DLA has a bunch for people there.

I know people at both installations, so if you would like for me to ask around, just give me a call at DSN 427-8541 between 0530 and 1500.  BTW – I will be on the road(again) Wednesday thru Friday of next week.  Other conference.  At least at this one I am not teaching.

GOOD to see you made it back save and sound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bruce,

Yes, it's WGNAS that's getting BRAC'd and yes, i applied for two jobs at NSA Philly since that only 10 miles away. I have a few friends there who are Equipment Specialists (NAVCIP .. I think) giving me a few pointers.  Always good to know more people so thanks in advance for your offer to assist.

Would you happen to know "The mayor" here at WGNAS? I dont know the guys real name but he's simply known as "The mayor"
