t30 winch oil pressure

does any one know the proper psi for the clutch slave cylinder in a timberjack T30 winch (gearmatic) the relief valve is set at 850 psi and is a cartridge which appears to be non adjustable.(I did try adjusting it with a gauge on it, one side was 825 the other 800psi and wouldn't move or down) the mechanic says this is too hi an should be around 650.
had a brand new cylinder blow out after two days. the previous one lasted 16000 hrs an just wore out. I'm starting to think the new one was defective from the fractory.

200 extra psi should not overwhelm any hydrauilic cylinder.  Theyre engineered with easily 50-100% safety factor
