Recently added the separate 5 HP engine/hydraulic system to the aft end on a manual Norwood HD 36.  Upon installation discovered the power pack is higher than log bunks, so lost about 2' of cutting deck. I want that 2' back! If I move the hydraulic motor further aft, will need to extend hydraulic hoses, new motor mounts. The other option is to add a permanent 4" extension on the saw-head end?  Or should I move/reinstall the hydraulic motor right under saw head?   Any thoughts on how to address this installation situation ? I your not portable put the unit away from the sawmill and just run the hoses in. We should have done this years ago with the firewood processer.
