Subscribing to threads

Is it possible to only subscribe to threads you have posted in, or otherwise choose? Currently I am subscribed to a forum and getting notifications on everything.

Either hit the "notify" button below in the thread or go into your profile and under Modify Profile hit the "Notifications and email" link. Check mark the first two boxes.
