Who's paying shipping for what?

Frank_Pender

That is a 1954 John Deere 40C.

You had better bring a lunch, Jeff.  :D :D   After I purchased the 40 C, the folks gave me a replica toy of the same. 8) 8) 8)

NOW, If I could just get the replica Big version of the straddle carrier I would be happy. :'(

Nice find, and it looks to be in good condition.
Is that one a 3 or a 5 roller on the track carriage?  I use to have a 420C of the same era ('58), except it didn't have the Deere blade with it. It had a fabricated canopy and not original loader.  It was 5 roller.

You know, Beenthere, I haven't even looked at the number of rollers.  I will do that after lunch in a bit.  Yes it is in great shape.  I am going to pressure wash it this weekend and get it ready for a new, original paint job later this winter. :)

Or, the boss would did it for you, Jeff. :D

The bottom picture is a 12' x 54" Douglas Fir from earlier this Summer.

The upper is the smaller of the two straddle carriers.  You can see the price on the box was originally $3.95.  When I do not know for sure.  I suspect in the early '50s some time.
