I don't plan these engagements, people just call and I usually don't turn them down. (I did turn one down in Michigan last month because of the unpredictable weather.) I spoke at the NEKDA meeting in New York last fall so somebody in the NE could be calling since there seems to be a steady progression away from my home in central PA.
