Looks real nice. I've never bought a brand new saw but I'm thinking now that I'm logging it would be nice to start with a brand new saw. Once these come available I'm thinking I'm gonna get one :) And it'll be a G, heated handles for sure.
I have never owned or fiddled with a 372 Xtorq, I've gotten by with a bunch of OE 372 stuff, still love them but I do really like my 2260 autotune too.

Youtube is banned in Saudi. They're afraid someone might see some skin or other 'questionable' material.

It's a bummer really. I don't watch television and the forum is one of my major forms of entertainment while I'm at work. Plenty of the folks on here post videos and i would like to see them but can't. By the time i get home for days off I forget about them, the threads have moved on, or I don't have/take the time to get on the forum as much. Guess I shouldn't whine. I've got a job and get the rest of the forum.

My FIL worked for Manitoba Hydro International in Saudi a few years ago to do some consulting work on their power grid installations.
He came out of retirement from his past Manitoba Hydro career at age 69 for something to do and see the world.

Well the stories he can tell about the things he and my MIL endured while living for a few years in their compound.

I know this is a four year old video, but I was very impressed with the video and wanted to say thank you.  Very much appreciate the education.  Searching the old posts and threads can reveal a mountain of great information.

Thank You,
David

In the video you hook up to the Husqvarna common service tool.  It displayed run time, fuel trim information, max RPM and max operating temperature.  What does your shop charge for that service.  And how much additional cost to down load the updated software if needed?

DHansen

The Husqvarna dealer I use is $30.00 for test and update.  Seems extremely reasonable.

Spike60

Really only takes 5-10 minutes, so I only charge $10 if it's one of my guys, and I'll do it while he waits if I can. Let him read it and see what the saw's been doing.

Didn't sell it, gotta leave it. And it ain't $10.  :)

Thank you for the input Spike, much appreciated.  I have the receipt for this 572XP and it is from the same shop I have used for years.  I am not the original purchaser.  It is a 2020 saw and purchased 11/23/2020
I picked it up Monday night.  I have a 592XP on order at this shop and purchased two new saws and one used saw in Jan and Feb 2021 from this same shop. I am interested in seeing how many hours are on this saw.  I think it is neat that the saws can store this helpful information.  Good was to know if the saw has been used incorrectly and how much use it truly has.

DHansen

It was $20.00 for connecting the Common Service Tool to my (new to me) 572XP and telling me hours (1 hour 12 minutes total run time) Fuel trim numbers, max operating temperature and max RPM's.  Price included updated software.  He also check serial number and said saw came from his shop.  We checked address where I purchased if from and it matched his address on file.  To me I think that this common service tool is a nice way to make sure a saw is not being misused.  This is my third 5 series Husqvarna saw. We'll see how much I like it after a year or so.

DHansen

Does anyone know the operating range or programed window of operation is for the Low and High fuel trim numbers displayed by the Husqvarna Common Service Tool?  And can the run hours be tempered with, like if the module is replaced with a new one or one from another saw?
